Travelling with you

The whole journey with me beside you. I drive the passes, read the weather each morning and rebuild the day when it turns, and do the talking at the desk and the table in whichever language it needs. You see the country; I carry the rest.

  • Three to eight days, one party at a time
  • Driven by me, or first-class rail with me beside you
  • Every door opened in the right language
  • The day rebuilt when the weather turns

What I do

A small country that takes a long time to cross.

MarieLucerne. I read every enquiry.

Three hops on a map is a day of changing trains with luggage. The pass you planned around is shut until June. The viewpoint you booked is cloud, and the one beside it is not. None of that is in the brochure, and all of it decides whether the trip works.

I live in Lucerne, with a second office in Samedan in the Engadin, and I speak the three languages you will meet on the road. I plan from a reference work of 884 entries that I built myself and publish in full — so when I tell you which base to stay in, or which week is the wrong week, you can see where it comes from.

How I work

Seen with our own eyes

Photographs from our own journeys.

Nothing staged. These are our own pictures from the places in the Lexikon — the light as it was that day.

Example journeys

Three ways to spend a week.

Examples, not fixed itineraries. Each is drawn from the Lexikon, and each would be reshaped around you — your dates, your pace, your idea of a good evening.

The Tour Lexikon

The reference I plan with.

884 summits, trains, passes, hotels, huts and wine terraces — the reference I plan from, open to you.

Before you write to me, you can see what I work from: every summit above 3 556 m, the trains and lifts that reach the viewpoints, the passes and when they open, the castles, glaciers, thermal baths and wine regions — each entry with its figures and its source.

Use it to find the places you want in the journey. Open any entry and ask me to plan around it, and its name arrives in the enquiry form already filled in.

How it goes

You write two sentences. I reply with questions. Then a route, costed.

  1. 1You write.

Roughly when, roughly how many, and what you are picturing. That is enough.

  2. 2I ask.

How much moving around you want, whether the point is the mountains or the food. Those answers shape a route more than the budget does.

  3. 3You get an outline.

Where you would stay, how you would move, what each part costs in francs. No deposit, no charge.

  4. 4You decide.

The outline is yours to keep whether or not you go further. Say yes, and I build and book it.

Tell me roughly what you are imagining.

A sentence is enough. Within a working day you have a reply from me, with the questions that turn an idea into a route — and the outline that follows costs nothing.
